Hi, I’m Jarne, a level 20 Dark Templar looking to join a casual, mature, pvp guild. I had been grouping up with Dilznic for the past few months in WOW for pvp, and desperately needed to jump that sinking pvp ship for brighter pastures, which looks like AoC can deliver. I don’t see a sticky for AoC, so I’ll follow your other sticky:
* Independent minded player
I have my own character preferences that match my play style, and a desire to develop a character that is a reflection of that. I have no problem tweaking a spec to better mesh with guild needs, but wouldn’t be very happy having to re-roll a certain class or spec. I consider myself a low maintenance person, and if I need something, I’d just as well go out and earn it myself rather than freeload off of others.
* Enjoys PvP and/or the economy
My primary interest is PvP. I enjoy playing supporting classes, which I believe I did well in WoW as a Priest. I’m looking forward to playing with a PvP oriented guild, assisting one another to gear up and be competitive at end game.
* Tolerates PvE to the extent that it aids them in PvP and/or the economy
I don’t mind PvE, as long as it is not ultimate objective of the game. I consider it a necessity to gear up and earn cash for PvP.
* Willing to get on Ventrilo and at least listen in
Not a problem, I’ve got Ventrilo installed. I may not always be able to speak on it (which happens on occasion), but have no problem listening in all the time.
* Can type in forum posts without using any leet-dude-speak. Understands that "2" is not a substitute for "to" or "too" and there is no word in the dictionary spelled "ur".
I don’t consider myself a language snob, but I can’t stand leet-speak. In-game abbreviations like “wtf†and “afk†have a place, but WTF is up with “ur
I’m a solid, low-maintenance, easygoing, and competitive guildie. I consider myself a casual gamer, usually on from 9 pm to 12:30 am PST (a bit less over the weekend), and am realistic about how much I can gear up given my play time. I don’t expect to have the best possible gear, in the top guild on the server. I do expect to be able to gear myself up sufficiently to be competitive, and to be a constant thorn in the side of those on the top. From what I read on your site, and the fact that Dilznic recommended you, I believe The Purge is what I am looking for in a guild.
