It seems pretty "convenient" that when I last updated TS my mic stopped working properly but for the last 3 weeks or so my mic totally blows. I have tried multiple mics (some usb and some not) and they all sound horrible in both ts and Skype. But literally one day it was working great. I install the latest TS update and from then on it has been working bad.
Sound card?

I don't think it can be your sound card if some of the mics were USB, i.e., did not use your sound card.

Yeah I was wondering about that. When I "listen to mic" it seems like the mic is just really low. When I boost it, it gets distorted.
