NBA sucks.. Explain to me how the following not only didnt result in a foul (or the required suspension) on Kobe, but they gave one to the rockets :

I swear he could skull fuck David Stern in center court and not get a foul or suspension.

I don't watch the NBA.
It's rigged and has a bunch of players I could care less than nothing about.

The explination is simple.
From the angle of the ref from the outside you can't see the elbow. Kobe has position and it appears he is being fouled over the back. If Kobe doesn't throw the elbow Artest is clearly fouling Kobe.
While certainly a foul could be called on Kobe their is no way that requires a suspension. They are fighting for position. If you eject Kobe for that you would be ejecting every power forward and center in the game.
If Artest doesn't chase after Kobe he doesn't get ejected either.

Artest shoud have been given a foul and Kobe should have a flagrent.
By the rules he should have been suspended - The NBA rulebook states that a player must be ejected for "an elbow foul which makes contact above shoulder level." By the standard that's been set in these playoffs, Bryant should be suspended.
There were shitty calls all over this game, Crawford is an awfull ref.
Stu Jackson on the Dwight Howard suspension:
"This was an elbow that was thrown that made contact above the shoulders and by rule there's an automatic suspension."
David Stern on the Dwight Howard suspension:
"We're there to protect the players. If you throw a punch, you're gone. If you throw an elbow above the shoulder, you're gone."
The goalpoasts are in motion as we speak.

Well to be fair, Artest was DRAPED on his back. That's about as bad an over the back as i've ever seen.

That was to the upper chest. The rule is meant to keep guys from throwing a 'bow to the grill. For a forward, that was a love tap, especially from a shooting guard like Kobe. Artest (one of the nicer guys in the NBA :roll is trying to win an Academy award after getting out-positioned by a pansy.
If Artest gets called for a foul on that like he should have, play would have stopped long before Kobe throws the 'bow. Instead, play continued, and Kobe did what he had to do to make the play.
I mean, really. hock:

Artest was called on a foul. Stern set the benchmark with the Howard bullshit (which I agree was too much) but when he has to apply the rule to the Kobe or Bron Bron matchup they want to see in the finals, oops, goalpost moves.

I'll be the last guy to argue that rules shouldn't be enforced equally. I just don't think what Kobe did even qualifies. His elbow came nowhere near Artest's head. Did Dwight's?

Did the Chicago Bulls win?
One thing that Kobie (and most other very good players) is drawing the ref's attention to the foul. Jordan was very good at it as well.
I don't see anything that should be a suspension in the clip. But no matter what or who is at fault, you dont go chasing after someone after the fact to try and prove your point. That will only get you a technical.
Same goes in Football. Its not the first punch, its the one the ref see's.

Looks like the GIF shows it pretty well. Kobe gets Artest in the chest with his arm as he turns while Artest's elbow brushes the side of Kobe's face. If anyone had cause to complain I think it would have been Kobe.
Looked to me like Artest had a sudden attack of European Soccer Player Syndrome.

I hate you.
F00kers don't even look like they can beat the Nuggets let alone the Cavs, that's IF they get past the Yao-less Rockets.

The NBA reviewed it and gave Kobe an after the fact flagrant. They also downgraded the foul that Artest got kicked out of the game for. They also fucked up the last second call at the Dallas-Denver game screwing Dallas (which amuses me).
All in all NBA officiating is somewhere close to the WWF.
Anyway, back to LA sucking.. I think Shaq said it best - "Hey Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes"

Well it's my favorite sport. Would be nice if they didn't butcher it with poor officiating. It seems that the sport has gotten too cozy with itself in recent years but it's still fun to watch players like LeBron James come into their own. It's just unfortunate when sometimes the league comes before the game.

Cleveland might lose the first game in the finals due to oversleeping.

"Five dollar footlong is one of the best songs," Artest said. "That's a hot song. You've got the freecreditreport.com, and then five dollar footlong comes on. When five dollar footlong comes on, they should play that in the club. They should play all those in the club."

All comes down to Sunday - can the mighty Lakers beat the team consisting of only role players in Game 7, or will the Zen Master once again be outcoached?

The Lakers are my team, but I'm having a difficult time caring at this point. If if they win Sunday, like I think they will, it's just gonna end in more heartache in Denver or Cleveland.
Your team can be many things to win the NBA championship, but if you can't play consistent D, stick a playoff fork in your ass.
