They do stare, a lot. Hella polite though. The toughest transition between the States and Japan has always been the ginormous gap between the service in Japan and the service Stateside.
Anyway, just back from a gorgeous sidetrip to Nagano with some people my friend knows. Some of the nicest people I`ve met, ever. Off to Osaka tomorrow for my first trip on the bullet train and my first outing without my friend. This should be interesting at the very least.
