The Brotherhood according to the Frey's has been raising up the common people to fight against them. Then the Brotherhood just lays waste to some common people building a church? I guess the Hound could be wrong about them being the Brotherhood but then why mention it?
That whole sequence was some weak ass, formulaic storytelling, probably because there is no source material for it. A waste of Ian McShane's talents. This was by far the weakest episode of the season.
