FWIW, all my google employee friends really like the Moto-X at the moment. Also comes with an easily unlockable bootloader so you don't have to hack it and void your warranty in order to get superuser access.
Its more iphone sized than the bigger phones and only has 720P, but if you aren't the type to watch videos on your phone (I know I never have since the novelty of a smartphone wore off) it has apparently very good battery life, a great camera and a bunch of other features. Its also a much more stock android phone so wont have any of Samsung or HTC's bloatware on it.
