HBO - Game of Thrones SPOILERS INSIDE. you have been warned
OrsunVZ Wrote:So far all the changes I've seen have to do with making a notion expressed in thought known to the viewer (limitations of TV), including some thoughts that span several chapters, most notably is Cercei's storyline.
They added a lot more sex and nudity than were in the books. I believe Tyrion had gone without female companionship for years prior to Shae as opposed to having just had a romp with a room full of whores a few weeks before.

They took out a great moment of character development for the Hound by having the secret of his background divulged to Sansa by Littlefinger instead of from the Hound himself. Missed opportunity for some depth to this neat character.

The whole scene with Renly and Loras was over the top. The only indication in the first book that Loras might be light in the loafers is in the way he dresses and no indication is given regarding Renly.

They changed the first night for Daenerys and Drogo for no reason I can figure out.

Drogo gets to die from basically a paper cut as opposed to the large wound that almost tore off a chunk of his breast.

They completely left out some important characters such as Roose Bolton and the Blackfish.

I could go on but I'll stop. All of that said, I did still enjoy the show, I just wish they had not changed some of those things. I can't really see how doing it as it was in the book would have been any harder.
