I don't mean to derail this thread any further, but here's an article quoting HBO's president:
"HBO co-president Eric Kessler talking at the VideoshmoozeNYC event yesterday said, “there is no chance his company will make its original programs like True Blood or The Wire available to non-cable subscribers.â€
Sounds like HBO thinks the money from new streaming subscribers wouldn't make up for the loss of full subscribers that would drop down to streaming. Well couldn't they just raise the streaming price? There must be more to it.
