Pallys Nerfed?

I read through the upcoming changes, and I had a hard time telling what they really did to the paladin class as I haven't played one.

The part that did catch my eye, was that their shields are now similar to the priest as in a minute "cool down" type of debuff is placed on them, and they can't recast a shield again til after a minute.

What did they have before? This seems like a pally shield nerf, but I don't have enough info to figure it out.

Pally's main concern was their dps wasnt controllable, so they made their procs hit more often but do less damage per proc.

Yes, the Pally shield nerf truly excites me. I wish they had included Blessing of Freedom in that line of nerfs, but I'm just happy they can no longer chain their two immunity shields.

I like that part too, no more shield run shield heal crap.
