Anyone watch the first episode? Was better than I expected, was a bit surprised to see full fruntal nudity on a sci fi channel show, I assume that was edited out on broadcast.

Where did you see it? It isn't on SciFi yet.

Just downloaded the torrent on isohunt.
Apparently after looking at wiki the pilot was released straight to dvd and the series starts next year.

I'll have to torrent it tonight. Cancelled cable on Saturday, took the box back and paid my final bill.
Oh sweet freedom.

Yeah until they find a way to stop torrents I can't see myself getting cable and watching crap with commercials again.

The problem of course is if everyone uses torrents no one will pay to create content.....

I've had a computer since I was 5 years old and never paid for an OS, and yet people have kept making them.. I just have to hope I am as lucky with TV shows.

I wouldn't torrent anything, I would just get the free over-the-air HD that's now broadcast. Any experience with that? Is it reliable?

I couldn't even stomach the 4th season of BSG. Their are few series that went down hill as fast as BSG. Why would they release more, am I the only one who thinks they ruined BSG?

The original BSG wasn't all that great to begin with now was it?

I watched it tonight. It was much better then I thought. Not in a sci fi way, just well acted and written.
Interesting start to a new show though.

And boobies.
The original star trek was cheesy but given the time it was made in thats somewhat forgettable, the original BSG was just goofy and stupid.

BSG started fine. It was gritty with a decent concept. Bad guys whupping humans while the humans search for a new home. The whole religion and mind fuck idea's suck.
Every first season of Star Trek was usually the opposite. They usually all sucked and got better over time. BSG started great and by season 4 wasn't even an action show. Vllad

The last BSG was an action show. Of course, I decided that was because they had to save their CGI buget for 2 seasons to afford it.

I agree.
I'm not interested in "Caprica" because I didn't like the direction BSG took. Someone is going to have to tell me why I should watch Caprica before I'm going to give it a shot. BSG had a great premise but they went too soap-opera with it. If I wanted to watch a soap opera, I wouldn't look for it on the Sci-Fi channel in a TV show about robots killing humans. |
