cnbc negative view, - Vanraw - 10-10-2011 Is it just me or is CNBC mad when the market goes up. Also they are becoming more and more political. I watch in the morning and they are feeling more and more like political show and not a business show that is suppose to be focusing on facts. I might be moving to Bloomberg if they keep this up. Re: cnbc negative view, - Grieve - 10-10-2011 I never get a chance to watch CNBC these days. But I've always thought that most of the anchors were very biased to the right. I liked the linked article below a lot, about a possible "melt-up" this fall: http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/daily-tickerå/predicting-summer-swoon-ed-dempsey-now-sees-fall-142411170.html That makes me want to keep holding onto my TNA, and of course AAPL is looking very good as well. Re: cnbc negative view, - Vllad - 10-10-2011 You are just old Maull. No where on any station anywhere is just news now. Good news doesn't sell. Every news organization has to sell Coke and Viagra. To make the money they have to, hyperbole and exageration rule the day. Political anchors make more sense since you need polarization in order to get people to watch your station. With 10,000 stations to chose from everyone is fighting over a smaller crumb then what existed 30 years ago. You have to do what ever you can to sell your station. Just plain news doesn't work anymore. Vllad Re: cnbc negative view, - Vanraw - 10-10-2011 I hear you, but the finance guys seemed to stay on track, due to the focused nature. But that seems to have gone to hell. Re: cnbc negative view, - Vllad - 10-11-2011 Everyone is effected by ratings. Vllad Re: cnbc negative view, - Breand - 10-19-2011 To me Bloomberg is the only real finance channel on TV. Re: cnbc negative view, - Vanraw - 10-19-2011 I've watching Bloomberg now, and they stream the TV for free..... Good bye CNBC....... Re: cnbc negative view, - Dustie - 11-09-2011 Vanraw Wrote:I've watching Bloomberg now, and they stream the TV for free..... Me too. Bloomberg is refreshing, I just wish they didn't make Lindsy (sp?) sit on the desk the whole time! CNBC's nightly shows were also getting out of hand. It's become a showcase for all the worst in American busniness: "American Greed", "Scammers", etc. Re: cnbc negative view, - Maren - 11-10-2011 Fearmongering sells apparently |
