Greetings Purge - Brog - 01-06-2009 How are ya? Myself and my girlfriend are both in a Warhammer guild right now and are unhappy where we are. I have been scouting guilds recently and stumbled across your place. We both have multiple characters; I play a 40 Runepriest, a 29 Ironbreaker and a 31 Engineer (currently) and she has a 29 Runepriest and a 18 Witchunter. Originally we were in a very tight-knit group on Averheim, but due to loss of players, it merged with another guild, and naturally after that, Averheim became a source only server, meaning everyone had to leave the server and transfer because no new players were arriving. So we transferred with our newly merged guild, losing members in the process and many friends as well. It's been a few months since then but almost all of our friends have left/quit and the majority of the people we have in the guild are either not helpful, unfriendly or just plain rude. Anyways, on to the reasoning for my post; after finding your site, my girlfriend and I are both former guildleaders on WoW (ironically its how we met IRL lol) and we are very much tired of trying to organize things and babysit people and as such, we enjoy small groups and making new friends while questing, doing scenarios etc. As a result, we want to make sure whichever guild we go to that attendance to events is not a "requirement", but rather encouraged; because don't get me wrong, I love instances, massive keep and RvR runs, but saying "you must dedicate 40 hours per week to the guild's raiding efforts" is something we're not willing to do anymore. So long story short, there's 3 things we want to find out about you guys: ![]() 1: Is there a required amount of time per week for us to be raiding/doing events etc.? 2: Is your guild a friendly/helpful atmosphere? (i.e. asking a question about some quest and getting some response, even if its just an "I don't know," *we both hate being completely ignored) 3: How often are events scheduled? Once/twice a week? More? I appreciate your time looking over my lengthy inquisition. -Brog - Hoofhurr - 01-06-2009 Hey there have a look around the forums here. The stickies in the public and application sections are very informative and for the most part current. If you read them and still feel it's a fit I'd encourage you to apply. - Brog - 01-06-2009 Haha, naturally I found the darned things after I posted. - Diggles - 01-06-2009 yet another victim of server sharding...down with sharding! Re: Greetings Purge - Snowreap - 01-06-2009 Brog Wrote:1: Is there a required amount of time per week for us to be raiding/doing events etc.?1. nothing is mandatory, except treating the enemy as enemies (no fraternizing with destruction, although having close personal relations with their corpses may be ok, if that's your thing). 2. if somebody knows, you will usually get an answer. sometimes if nobody knows, nobody will answer. you might have to ask twice to get an actual "I don't know". 3. most of our events are unscheduled surprises (keep and fortress defenses, for example). scheduled events are scheduled as often as any of the members feel like scheduling them. currently this isn't very often. to some extent this lull is due to the holidays, but I can't say how much is that and how much is people just getting tired of the game. -ken - Brog - 01-06-2009 Thanks for the speedy response. I'll try and meet up in game asap Looking forward to it.
