RAM Question - strife - 07-11-2021 I have an Asus P6T motherboard (Yes I know it's old) It has 6 ram slots and can hold 24GB or ram total, it uses DDR3 memory with a max speed of 1866 MHZ. I currently have 3 4GB sticks of 1066 MHZ DDR3 totaling 12 GB I want to upgrade and curious what the best bang for my buck is... not wanting to spend much. Should I just buy 3 sticks of 1066 4GB and max out the ram? I seem to remember that you're supposed to replace the ram in sets of 3(so adding 1 more ram stick wouldn't be a good idea). |
