SATA port activation - Grunldesnapp - 02-25-2013 X79 Sabertooth MOBO. When i got it i had a CDROM and SDD pluggin in and running. Since turning SATA ports on are just beyond my skills with computers i pulled the CDROM SATA and hooked it into a new HDD. How in the fuck do i turn on SATA ports? For the life of me i cant find it in the BIOS. Re: SATA port activation - Diggles - 02-25-2013 90% of bios you dont need to mess with anything relating to SATA ports, definitely not turning ports on/off. If do not see the plugged in items in the bios display, then something is wrong with your wiring or the hardware it self. Only exception to his is you may need to configure the Sata drives to 'IDE emulation' or something to that effect, you do NOT want AHCI |
